Travelling abroad with a heart problem will always be a concern however, by ensuring you are properly prepared will allow you to relax and have an enjoyable break. Make sure you check with your doctor that you are fit to travel and more so, to your holiday destination. Remember not everywhere has such reliable hospital resources as the UK. Make sure you find out where the nearest medical centre is to your accommodation and the Insurers emergency telephone number, should the worst happen.

In the event your flight may be delayed on your return home, make sure you have enough medication to see you through until you get home and try not to pack it in your hold baggage, just in case it gets lost. Always keep well hydrated with water, not alcohol, as this will help to keep your high blood pressure down.
