Ensure meat is never undercooked, and vegetables and fruit are not washed in tap water. Only consume pasteurised dairy products, do not drink tap water, and be wary of ice in drinks.
When you arrive at your holiday destination make inquiries as to where you can receive medical assistance in case of an emergency. Medical advice must be received as soon as you notice any of the following symptoms: high fever, abdominal pain, dizziness, dehydration, and rectal bleeding.
