Why is the end date showing as 31/12/2027 on my flight delay account?
This is the last date that a flight will be eligible for the PJH Flight Delay cover. This does not reflect the cover dates of your travel insurance policy. For confirmation of the start and end date of your travel insurance, please refer to your travel insurance policy wording.
My flight has been delayed. Why can't I see 'airport lounge' as an option in my account?
Some airports do not have an airport lounge affiliated with DragonPass, which is the service we use for lounge passes. If that’s the case, you will only see the option to redeem a gift card.
Can I choose multiple gift cards?
You cannot redeem multiple Gift Cards of different types. However, you can redeem 3 Gift Cards of the same type, should you have 3 passengers on the delayed flight.
How long are the gift cards valid for?
Validity varies depending on the Gift Card. Some are 12 months; some have no expiry date. It will specify on the Gift Card itself.
How do I redeem my gift card?
Access to your chosen Gift Card will be emailed to you. All you need is the code on the card.
What gift cards can I choose from?
You can choose your digital Gift Cards from Uber, Amazon UK, Costa UK or Boots UK. You can use the digital Gift Cards during your trip or after you return home. Check the terms and conditions of the gift card provider for any restrictions on using the card. Some providers only allow you to redeem for online purchases.
What happens if the lounge is at full capacity?
If the lounge is full, you will be given directions to other lounges in the airport, or the lounge pass offered will be available to use for 6 months, so, it may be used on any future trip within this time.
What happens if there is no lounge in the airport?
If there is no lounge in the airport the lounge pass offered will be available to use for 6 months, so it may be used on any future trip within this time. Alternatively, you could choose the gift card option if no lounge is available.
Can I remove my registered flight?
Yes, you can remove your registered flight up to 2 hours before departure.
Can I register multiple flights?
Yes, you can add up to 6 flights and add up to 6 eligible travellers when you register.
Suppose I miss a connected flight due to a flight delay. Will I receive compensation?
PJH Flight Delay Service only applies to the delayed flight. Any subsequent costs and therefore missed connecting flights are not covered under this benefit. You should review the terms and conditions of your travel insurance to see if this is covered under the policy.
Am I entitled to benefits if my flight is cancelled?
Unfortunately, cancelled flights are not covered under the PJH Flight Delay benefit. This only offers you support in the event of flight delays. However, you should contact your airline or travel agency in the first instance. If you can’t get your costs back or get a flight rescheduled, you might be able to claim under your travel insurance instead. You should view the terms and conditions of your travel insurance policy for further information.
What compensation will I receive in the event of a delay?
If your departure is delayed by 2 hours or more, and this delay was reported by the airline at the terminal, you will be offered the choice between access to a VIP lounge or a Gift Card worth £25. Note that some gift cards are redeemable to use online only.
How will I be contacted?
Via SMS and/or email using the details you supplied when you registered. You can change these details within your dashboard of your PJH Flight Delay account.
When do I need to register my flights?
You can register your flights as soon as you have purchased a policy, as long as you know the flight details. You must register at least 24 hours before your flights scheduled departure.
What is the flight delay benefit?
PJH Travel Delay is a benefit included with all qualifying Free Spirit and Travel Plus purchases from 17th August 2026 to 31st December 2026. When you register your flights at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure, we monitor them. If your flight is delayed by 2 hours or more (within 24 hours of scheduled departure), we’ll notify you so you can redeem a benefit.
